UGC ads made for testing, not for the archive

A UGC ad has one job: stop the scroll, earn the next five seconds, and move a viewer to tap. We write every script around that job, film it with real paid creators on a phone, and cut it in every size your ad accounts need. On Growth and up each video comes with A/B variants, so you can test hooks without booking another shoot.

Ad formats we script and edit

Different products sell through different stories. In your monthly brief you choose the formats, and we write a script for each.

  • 1

Unboxing, where the creator opens the package and reacts to the product in hand

  • 2

Testimonial, where the creator talks to camera about why the product earned a place in their routine

  • 3

Product demo, which shows the product doing its job in real time, ideal for apps and gadgets

  • 4

Problem and solution, which opens on a frustration the viewer knows and lands on the product as the fix

  • 5

Hook packs, a set of short openings filmed for one body, built for fast testing

  • 6

Voiceover with b-roll, where the creator narrates over close-ups and in-use shots

  • 7

TikTok Shop style, with a direct offer, price mention and a clear tap to buy

How we structure a hook

Every script we write starts with a hook block of three layers that land at the same time. When one layer is weak, the other two carry it.

  1. The spoken line, the first sentence the creator says, written to sound like a person and not a tagline

  2. The on-screen text, a short caption that works with the sound off and often says something different from the voice

  3. The visual, the first frame the viewer sees, such as the product mid-use, a messy before shot or a face reacting

Examples for invented products show the idea. For a vitamin C serum, the creator holds the bottle to the lens and says this is the one thing I changed this month, while the caption reads my skin before coffee. For a meal-prep app, the creator opens a full fridge and says Sunday took me 40 minutes, with the caption how I stopped ordering takeout.

The first 2 seconds decide the rest

Most people decide whether to keep watching before the creator finishes the first sentence. Our shot rules put the hook inside the first 2 seconds, with no logo intro, no slow pan and no greeting. The product or the problem is visible in the opening frame, and the first cut lands fast. The end card with your offer comes last, after the viewer already cares.

A/B variants from the same footage

Testing creative works best when only one thing changes. That is why we cut variants from the same take rather than filming a whole new video.

  • Growth includes 1 variant per video, Scale includes 2, and Studio includes 3
  • A variant swaps the hook, the call to action, or both, while the body stays the same
  • Growth and up get 3 hook options per video at script stage, so the variants are planned before filming
  • Variant files are labeled clearly in the panel, so your media buyer can tell A from B at upload

Sizes and captions for every placement

Each finished video is exported in three aspect ratios, so one brief covers your main placements.

SizeWhere it runsWhat we adjust
9:16TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories, YouTube ShortsCaptions kept clear of the app's buttons and the caption area at the bottom
4:5Meta feed on Facebook and InstagramReframed so the product and face stay in view
1:1Square placements and marketplace listingsText resized so it reads on a small tile

Captions are burned in and sized for viewers who scroll with the sound off. Music comes from licensed libraries, and every video ends with an end card carrying your offer. For platform specifics, see tiktok ugc ads and ugc facebook ads.

Fresh creatives every month, informed by last month

Ad fatigue is the reason a monthly plan makes sense. Each month you write a new brief, and you can tell us in plain words which hooks and angles your team kept running and which ones it switched off. We use that note to steer the next round of scripts, keeping the angles that held up and replacing the rest with new ones. Unused videos do not roll over, so the plan size should match how many new ads your team actually launches in a month. Compare video counts on ugc video pricing.

Every UGC ad comes with paid usage rights

Paid ads usage on all platforms is included in every plan, with no separate licensing fee per creator. Every creator is paid for the shoot and labels the content as a paid partnership wherever it runs under their handle. Scale and Studio also include raw footage, so your team can recut new versions in house.
