TikTok UGC ads filmed for the For You feed
We plan, film and edit TikTok UGC ads with paid creators who already talk to camera the way your buyers scroll. Every video arrives in 9:16, with captions placed inside the safe zone, three hook options, sound chosen for the platform and the creator's Spark Ads authorization code when you want to run the post from their handle.
The TikTok specs we cut every video to
TikTok rewards videos that look like they belong in the feed, but the format still has hard edges. We lock these settings before the first edit so nothing gets rejected in Ads Manager or cropped on a phone.
| Setting | What we deliver |
|---|---|
| Aspect ratio | 9:16 vertical, 1080 x 1920 px |
| Length | 9 to 34 seconds for most ads, hook cuts from 6 seconds |
| File | MP4 or MOV, H.264, high bitrate master plus a lighter upload copy |
| Captions | Burned in, two lines maximum, high contrast, inside the safe zone |
| Sound | Creator voice first, licensed music bed under it, no copyrighted tracks |
| End card | Short product and offer frame, kept clear of the CTA button area |
- Masters stay in full quality in the order panel, so you can recut later without asking for files again.
- On Scale and Studio plans you also download the raw footage for your own editors.
Safe zones and why text placement decides the ad
The TikTok interface covers parts of every video. The caption and username sit at the bottom, the like, comment and share column runs down the right side, and paid placements add a CTA button above the caption. Text that lands under those elements is unreadable, and a face behind the icon column looks like a mistake.
- We keep on-screen text in the central area, roughly the middle two thirds of the frame, away from the bottom strip and the right column.
- Faces and the product sit slightly left of center and above the lower third, so nothing important hides behind the CTA button.
- We check every export against a safe zone overlay before it reaches review, and the overlay frame is visible in the panel preview.
- Ugly mistakes such as captions colliding with the username or a price hidden under the button never reach your account.
Spark Ads authorization codes from creators
Spark Ads let you boost a post that lives on the creator's own TikTok account. The ad shows their handle, their profile and their comments, which is often the most native placement you can buy. To run one you need an authorization code from the creator, and chasing that code is usually where things stall.
-
When a video is meant for Spark Ads, the brief says so and the creator agrees to post it on their account before filming.
-
After the post goes live, the creator turns on ad authorization and generates a code for the period your plan calls for, such as 30, 60 or 365 days.
-
The code arrives in the order panel next to the video, together with the post link and the expiry date, so your media buyer pastes it into Ads Manager without a single message thread.
-
If a code expires while the ad is still spending, you request a renewal in the panel and we get a new one from the creator.
-
When you prefer to run ads from your own brand account instead, you simply upload our file. Paid ads usage rights are included in every plan either way.
Creators are paid for their work and disclose the paid partnership as the FTC requires, using TikTok's branded content toggle where the post is organic.
TikTok Shop style videos that sell inside the app
TikTok Shop videos follow their own rules. The product has to appear early, the creator handles it on camera, and the viewer needs a reason to tap the product link before the video ends. We script these as short, direct demos rather than polished ads.
-
1
Product in hand within the first two seconds, with the price or offer said out loud when your brief includes it.
-
2
One clear use moment, for example a creator applying a lip tint in daylight or pouring a protein shake straight from the shaker.
-
3
A spoken nudge toward the product link that sounds like the creator, not a script read off a card.
-
4
No claims the listing cannot support. We work from the must-say and never-say lines in your brief.
-
5
Separate cuts for the shop feed and for paid boosts, so the same footage serves organic posts and ads.

Build my video planSound and pacing that keep thumbs from scrolling
Most TikTok viewers watch with sound on, so audio carries as much weight as the picture. Pacing does the rest. A slow first second is the most expensive second in the ad.
- Hook in the first 1.5 seconds, said and shown at once, for example "I stopped buying three cleaners after I found this one" with the product already in frame.
- A cut or visual change every one to three seconds, built from natural jump cuts rather than flashy transitions.
- Creator voice stays the loudest layer. Music sits under it at a level that never fights the words.
- Trending sounds belong to organic posts. For ads we use licensed tracks, because commercial use of most trending audio is not cleared.
- Three hook options per video on Growth and above, cut on the same body, so you can test openings without filming again.

Questions about TikTok UGC ads
Do creators post the videos on their own accounts?
Only when you want Spark Ads or an organic post. The brief marks it, the creator agrees before filming, and the code arrives in the panel.
How long does a Spark Ads code stay valid?
The creator sets the period when generating the code. We request the length your campaign needs and show the expiry date next to the video.
Can I run the same video on Reels and Shorts?
Yes. Paid usage rights cover all platforms. We can deliver 4:5 and 1:1 cuts too, and our ugc facebook ads page covers the Meta side.
What if TikTok rejects an ad?
Send the rejection reason in the panel. If the issue is in our edit, such as text placement or a claim, the fix counts as a revision.
Fresh TikTok creatives every month without managing creators
Pick a plan with a fixed number of finished videos, send one brief and download ads that respect the safe zones and arrive with Spark Ads codes when you need them. Plans start at $49 a month, and yearly billing saves 50 percent.
