UGC video packages compared by price and what each includes

A UGC video package is a fixed bundle of creator videos sold at one price, usually 1, 3, 5 or 10 videos, or a set number every month. Freelance creator listings in the US often price monthly packages between $450 and $1,000, while done-for-you subscriptions such as UgcVids start at $49 a month. The package price only means something once you know what is inside it: script, edit, sizes, revisions and ad rights.

The five kinds of UGC video packages

Almost every offer you will see falls into one of five shapes. They differ less in the creators and more in who does the work between the brief and a file you can upload to Ads Manager.

What should a UGC package include

A UGC package for paid ads should include a script with at least one hook, a finished edit with captions, the sizes your placements need, at least one revision round and written paid ads usage rights. Without those five, you are buying raw footage and paying for the rest later in hours or add-ons.

  • Script and hooks. Who writes the first two seconds decides whether the ad stops the scroll. Ask how many hook options come with each video.
  • Editing. Captions for sound-off viewing, licensed music and an end card with your offer.
  • Sizes. 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 4:5 for the Meta feed and 1:1 for some placements. One vertical file is not enough for most media plans.
  • Revisions. One round is the floor. Two or three rounds matter when legal or compliance has to approve claims, which is common for supplements and skincare.
  • Usage rights. Organic rights let you post. Paid rights let you spend money behind the clip. Get the platforms and the duration in writing.
  • Raw footage and variants. Raw clips and alternate hooks let you test without paying for another shoot.

How much do UGC video packages cost

Freelance creator listings in the US often run from about $450 to $1,000 a month for 4 to 10 videos, with paid ad usage and whitelisting often priced on top. Marketplaces commonly start near $100 per raw video. Done-for-you subscriptions bundle script, edit and rights, and the cost per finished video falls as the package grows.

Here is the cost per finished video on each UgcVids plan, with script, three sizes, captions, revisions and paid ads rights included in every one.

How many UGC videos do I need per month

A practical rule of thumb: a brand spending $5,000 to $20,000 a month on TikTok and Meta needs 5 to 15 new UGC videos a month to keep creative fatigue in check. Below that spend, 3 to 5 videos with hook variants is usually enough. Agencies running several brands often need 30 or more.

The reason is simple arithmetic. A winning ad on Meta or TikTok tends to lose efficiency within a few weeks as frequency climbs. To keep a steady pipeline you want a few new concepts every week, plus variants of whatever is currently winning. Variants cut from existing footage are the cheapest part of that pipeline, which is why packages with A/B variants and raw footage stretch further than their headline video count.

  • Testing the channel for the first time: 1 to 3 videos, one format, one hook each.
  • Steady spend on one or two platforms: 5 videos a month with 3 hooks and one variant each.
  • Scaling across TikTok, Reels and Meta: 15 videos a month with raw footage for recuts.
  • Agency or multi-brand team: 40 videos a month with seats for each client team.

Before you pick a number, it helps to look at which competitor ads have been running the longest in your category. Long-running ads are the ones that pay for themselves, and their formats tell you which video types to put in your package first.

Are UGC retainers worth it

A UGC retainer is worth it when you run paid social every month and want a steady flow of new creatives, because the per-video price drops and the briefing work happens once. It is not worth it for a one-time launch, where a single bundle costs less and carries no commitment.

The catch with a single-creator retainer is range. One face, one home and one voice limit how many angles you can test, and ads with the same person wear out together. A subscription that matches different creators to different concepts gives you more distinct tests from the same budget. On UgcVids, Growth lets you approve a creator from a shortlist of 3 for each video, and Scale from a shortlist of 5.

Package traps to check before you pay

Most disappointments with UGC packages come from five lines that were never written into the offer. Check each one before you pay.

  • Organic only rights. The package looks cheap until you want to put ad spend behind the clip.
  • Raw delivery. "5 videos" sometimes means five unedited takes with no captions or music.
  • One aspect ratio. Extra sizes are billed per video on many platforms.
  • No hook options. A single hook per video halves the number of tests you can run.
  • Rollover rules. Ask what happens to unused videos at the end of the month. On UgcVids they do not roll over, so pick the plan you will actually use.

Which package fits your business

Match the package to the work you want to keep. If you have an editor and a strategist and enjoy choosing creators, a marketplace credit pack or a freelance bundle is the cheapest route per clip. If your team would rather spend its hours on testing and media buying, a done-for-you package returns finished, sized, rights-cleared ads on a schedule.

For DTC stores, Growth or Scale tends to fit, and our page on ugc videos for ecommerce brands shows the formats that sell physical products. Agencies buying for several clients should look at the ugc agency setup on Studio, with unlimited seats and invoicing with net terms.
